Samuel Carvalho Gaudêncio

Samuel Carvalho Gaudêncio founded Purple Iguana Investments in 2018 to give a distinct home to the M&A work that had, until then, sat alongside his legal practice.
He is a lawyer by training, admitted in Brazil, with a doctorate in law from the University of São Paulo, an LL.M. from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in tax law from PUC-SP. He also studied mergers and acquisitions at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
He began his career at Mattos Filho.
He has advised entrepreneurs, families and Brazilian and American multinationals on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, global corporate reorganizations and commercial negotiations involving Brazil, the United States and China.
His work is concentrated in privately held, closely held and family-controlled businesses.
He sits on the boards of companies in Brazil, the United States and Commonwealth jurisdictions.

Andreza Abdanur works in business development at Purple Iguana Investments, focusing on entrepreneurs, controlling shareholders and family businesses in Brazil and internationally.
Trained in Architecture and Urbanism, she brings experience in commercial negotiation, international business development and creative ventures. Her work has included projects across eight countries for organizations such as Google, YouTube, Netflix, Adidas, Ambev, Vale and PepsiCo, as well as initiatives in Saudi Arabia involving the Ministry of Culture, the Saudi Media Forum and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
